Everyone is talking about getting stimulus money these days. Where there is money to be had, there will be eager hands to take it, and the technology sector is one area that Obama intends to stimulate. The need is for wider access to high-speed broadband. Dealing with the status quo is “holding us back as individuals, it has cost our economy billions, and things are only going to get worse if we don’t do something about it.” That’s Michael Copps, FCC commissioner, speaking in an interview with Business Week last month. But the excitement turned to disappointment as talks lagged and plans bogged down.
But what about now? Amidst the delayed talks, an unclear plan, and no new broadband access, people are wondering if that much-talked-about $7.2 billion is funding anything but talk right now.
Things are moving, however. According to a fresh report from Business Week, several states have stepped up to receive the allocated funding for wider broadband access. Among the states that expect to receive funding are Colorado, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Local governments are now getting a say in the game, and that has helped push the issue forward faster. State and municipal authorities have a more accurate perspective of exactly how the broadband stimulus plan could drive economic development in their areas-and they want it, badly. To them, it’s about more than putting broadband access in rural homes and businesses; it’s about creating jobs and reviving businesses.
There is more good news. Now that local governments are involved, the creative juices are flowing as to exactly how the money will be distributed. “We would like to see public-private partnerships to expand the deployment of broadband,” is the wish of Virginia’s Technology Secretary, Aneesh Chopra, who understands that private companies, working responsibly, can help drive the economic development. From the mom-and-pop Internet service provider to the mammoth AT&T, that could be very good news. Putting the task into the lap of a private company means that the money comes with fewer strings attached.
And while this does not hail the end of the recession for tech companies by any means, it is at least a bit of good newswith more to come, perhaps.

TopUSAOnlineCasinos
Top USA Online Casinos is a website which offers a free guide to US gamblers who are on the lookout for safe and fun gambling destinations. Basically the website consists of a list of 10 top Online Gambling websites. Over the weeks these 10 change depending on a few things. Firstly the list is broken down into separate columns. For each of the gambling destinations to be ranked (1 being the best, 10 being the least best) it depends on pro poker & blackjack players, according to bonus prize, payout rate, customer support, number of games within the online casino, deposit options and finally the graphics and ease of use of the website.
Design & Structure
A first impression is always a key factor and I believe for this type of website, simplicity is the key. TopUSAOnlineCasinos has definitely got a simple design although possibly a bit too simple. I think the execution of the design is vital and I think more could be done to draw the visitors attention more to the small ‘Casino Banners’ or more towards the casino listings itself.
Another thing which would could enhance the website a great deal would be a custom logo. Having bland, plain text on a background such as what it has isn’t very visually striking or aesthetically pleasing, so this could also be taken into account.
Why is this website helpful?
This website is really handy for regular online gamblers. If they for instance wanted to try some were new? Or wanted to earn themselves more money, they would quickly toggle the top ten casinos which are listed and check out the statistics - in this case they would most definitely check out the bonus prize and the payout rate.
* Something that is quite obvious about the site is that it is only aimed at people in the USA and casinos which exist online that are USA based. I personally think if they did more research and expanded on their branch and market I think the site itself could improve further.
Do you need to be a member?
Nope, as it states in the header and main text, it is a free guide to helping potential gamblers find a right place to put there money were their mouth is.
If your a bit of an online gambler and from the United States and want to check out various different online casinos then please visit TopUSAOnlineCasinos.com
I’ll have part two online when myself and adam have progressed with the forum skin. I’ll also update you all whenever I have any new ideas for FS aswell.
In this blog post the websites chosen are from my pure opinion on them, either the design & functionality or the actual meaning of the website. I have decided to give you ten of my most favourite e-commerce website designs that exist on the internet today.
As you can see most websites that I have featured are flash animated, but personally these are my favourite. You’ll notice i’ve listed a couple of girl/woman type websites .i.e. Freddy&Ma and these tend to look the best. The Freddy&Ma website design is my most favourite because of the simplicity and simple functionality of the overall site. The nice flash fold also adds to the simple graphics giving it that more ‘wow’ factor as you enter the site.
That’s my most favourite e-commerce website designs, please leave your comments on what you think of them. Do you think theres another site there that should be number one on the list? I would love to know!

Hello everyone and welcome to the paid free review for an amazing blog of a great friend of mine Bryan Le. The blog which will be discussed today is Sentences.Org, a blog which Bryan shares his past experiences throughout the World Wide Web as a freelancer and business marketer.
“This website is no different. People from all around the world with different backgrounds, styles, professions, and experiences can all form a tight knit community with one purpose - point - or goal… to spread knowledge and educate our readers with tips, advice, and strategies regarding online business marketing and freelance graphic design. We want to empower our readers and help them on the road to success.”
Design & Structure
We all know that in the world of freelancing, a first impression is a necessity if you want to gain readers and good traffic. Bryan has been smart about it and uses a Free Theme, yes thats right a Free Theme which pulls off really well. To be perfectly honest with you, I thought it was a unique design at first - but I then realised that it was actually designed by WpDesigner.
Content
Bryan in my opinion is a content king. When he had www.BryanLe.net online, I was a regular reader and I loved how his posts were so informative and detailed. It can be easily said that Bryan has continued in his paths and carried this on into Sentences. Some of my favourite articles are as follows:
Bryan has a certain mind for creativity when he writes and I really enjoy reading his work. I am a big fan and friend of Bryan and hope to be for a long time. If your a freelancer or business marketer or have any interest in the field of business what so ever I recommend that you go over to Sentences and have a read.
It’s been a pleasure reviewing such a wonderful website.
