Hello everyone and welcome to the paid free review for an amazing blog of a great friend of mine Bryan Le. The blog which will be discussed today is Sentences.Org, a blog which Bryan shares his past experiences throughout the World Wide Web as a freelancer and business marketer.
“This website is no different. People from all around the world with different backgrounds, styles, professions, and experiences can all form a tight knit community with one purpose - point - or goal… to spread knowledge and educate our readers with tips, advice, and strategies regarding online business marketing and freelance graphic design. We want to empower our readers and help them on the road to success.”
Design & Structure
We all know that in the world of freelancing, a first impression is a necessity if you want to gain readers and good traffic. Bryan has been smart about it and uses a Free Theme, yes thats right a Free Theme which pulls off really well. To be perfectly honest with you, I thought it was a unique design at first - but I then realised that it was actually designed by WpDesigner.
Content
Bryan in my opinion is a content king. When he had www.BryanLe.net online, I was a regular reader and I loved how his posts were so informative and detailed. It can be easily said that Bryan has continued in his paths and carried this on into Sentences. Some of my favourite articles are as follows:
Bryan has a certain mind for creativity when he writes and I really enjoy reading his work. I am a big fan and friend of Bryan and hope to be for a long time. If your a freelancer or business marketer or have any interest in the field of business what so ever I recommend that you go over to Sentences and have a read.
It’s been a pleasure reviewing such a wonderful website.

It’s been a few days now since I put EFP up for sale and unfortunately, I’ve not had much interest. One person is really interested in the domain although I’d prefere to sell as a package. So because of the lack of updates, I’ll just continue on like before until I get a bid :).
Free Reviews
I was thinking of a way to repay my readers by offering two people the chance to get a free review written about any of their websites by myself. So if your interested, the first two people to post in the comments section - PAID FREE REVIEW! - will simply get a review of any website they wish.
Caption Contest
Below this post I ran a little competition for someone to win a free advertisement banner… I’ve decided to cut the contest short because of the lack of updates and just choose a winner now. So the winner is (drumroll please…)
- Dave - ‘Image 5 - Help support a child this winter. Donate to the down syndrome charity today.’
Haha! Sorry, but as soon as I read it I really did LOL. So Dave wins it. I’ll post the advertisement banner up when I complete it.
Thats all for now. I’ll have more updates soon.

As most of you may know I am a Windows user and the only chance I ever get to mess around on a Macbook is when I visit the store in Glasgow, which is literally only a 10 minute walk from my University. So yesterday me and my mate grant took a look in and we ended up staying for an hour! Literally laughing our heads off… I don’t know about any of you Mac users, but how much fun is PhotoBooth?!
So to have a little extra fun on EatFruitPlease I want to do a little competition. Below are five images which we took yesterday, I want you to come up with a caption for one of the images and post it in the comments section. The person who comes up with the funniest caption will win an advertisement of their choice for any of their websites.

There we go. I will also be getting these on PhotoBoothGallery.com soon aswell. I’ll be announcing the winner when I recieve 15 caption comments. Oh by the way, you can check out other funny pictures we took here.
Have fun!

Hello everyone,
I’ve been thinking hard about EatFruitPlease as a whole and I think i’m going to be selling it off soon (skin & domain), I have other plans for some of the domains I have…. to make a new blog obviously! I want to continue blogging because its fun and it always gives me something to do, but I just feel that EatFruitPlease isn’t right. I have the domain www.freelancesuite.com which I might develop into a freelance blog/tips/resources etc soon and make it my personal kinda blog too, although I plan on developing a nice little blog for freelancers.
I’ve also booked up to go away on holiday, 15th June 2008 - there is 11 of us going this time and we’re off to the place I went last year - Magaluf. Me and my mates loved it that much we’ve decided to go back, only with more lads (never go a holiday with girls - trust me, take far too long to get ready lol). So i’ve that to look forward to. It’s also my birthday soon (a big 18!) which is on Febuary 22nd but I am holding a big party on the 1st of March, so if your a bit adventurous and wild why don’t you contact me and i’ll personally give you an invite!
Anyways, not much else happening, just getting used to the skin now. Possibly a few changes to it shortly to make users feel more at home, although big plans personally for a whole new blog scene.

Finally, I have everything sorted. And eventually, the new EatFruitPlease is online! I’m so chuffed, I’m really happy about the way it’s turned out, I’d like to that Amaresh Ray for all his help (i’ll add a link to his site when I find out which site he owns) without him the new version wouldn’t have been able to be online.
EatFruitPlease - v.Shocking.
I’ve decided to give this theme a little catchphrase - v.Shocking. Catchy eh? Anyways enough slabbering onto the main stuff. Firstly, I would like to thank the guys over at Xenvion for an amazing job on the logo, looks sexy. I’d also like to thank you guys for patiently waiting on this, been a while since I posted so i’m going to make this a worthwhile read.
So, this time I have fully sidebar/widget compatible sidebars. I will be adding more features later to my blog, I just want to check out some of them first. You’ll see some widgets being introduced and then see them disappear again, this is me just simply testing them out.
What I am aiming for is for this new design to boost my traffic a little and also bump up that RSS feed - so if you haven’t done so already, subscribe to the rss feed :)!
Advertisements
125×125 advertisements
You’ll notice that this time EatFruitPlease has space for 125×125 advertisement images. There are four currently available and are selling at $15 per month. This $15 will get your exposure to around 200 unique visitors a day, the overall traffic range which EatFruitPlease gets a day. If interested then please email me with your name and 125×125 advertisement image, I will then reply to you with my PayPal address. As soon as the money is sent your advertisement will begin - please note that you will recieve an email around a week before your advertisement will expire
468×60 Advertisement
This is another newbie to EatFruitPlease, something that’s never been seen before and that is a 468×60 advertisement image. For your advertisement to be displayed on here monthly it will cost $35. Again if your interested contact me.
That’s basically it for now. Yet again, if you’d be kind enough to subscribe to the rss feed, i’d be grateful.
Kindest regards.

Hi folks,
I’m really sorry about the lack of updates recently, I’ve swapped my internet over to 8meg (previously I was running on a 1meg connection) but now i’m back for good.
The new design should be up tonight, just a few errors and stuff to be fixed and that’ll be it, so check back soon!
Regards.

Okay, so its now the year 2008 so shouldn’t there be new changes? I’ve decided that because of the new year I should be thinking about ways of making EatFruitPlease more readable and accessable. I will be having a new design up shortly as you can see by the small logo above (curtosy of Xenvion), I’m going to have a whole new look.
So sit tight and wait for it, shouldn’t be too long

MaxBlogPress have recently just designed an amazing new plugin which I found out by viewing John Chow’s latest post. The plugin allows you to add advertisements or any link source you wish to the very top of your screen. This is really useful as it is the first noticeable thing that a visitor lays eyes on, so I’m going to take this further and will be selling 5 text links all with a Weight of 4 for $20 each per month. Basically all the ‘Weight of 4′ means is all advertisements will be rotating the same and will be displayed equally. The higher the weight the more exposure it’ll get - 10 being the highest.
You’ll notice i’ve added links already, these are just link backs to my recent blog posts which I have all set them with a weight of 2.
Statistics:
So if your interested in buying a text link please email me or use the contact page.
Update: Sorry I have to laugh, if you look at John Chows post. He’s already made $500 since installing the MaxBlogPress Plugin hehe! Crazy!
Regards

Okay, so I don’t know if you remember this post a couple of weeks ago but i’ve been using EntreCard since and its a really useful way of getting traffic. Since using it i’ve been buying alot of good advertisement spots on some really nice websites and blogs, although my rss readers haven’t really budged but my traffic has increased to around an average 220 unique visitors a day.
But what I want to investigate about Entrecard today is this - Is it worth buying lots of advertisement spots which cost less ECC (entrecard credits) or saving your ECC’s and spending it all on one advertisement?
Buying Many Ads With Your ECC’s
Okay, so say you have 100 entrecard credits saved. If your like me your a bargain hunter looking for quality and the best out of it (in this case traffic). Common sense lets us know that the least expensive the advertisement is on EntreCard the less traffic your going to get, whereas the more expensive it is the more traffic you’ll get. But why not think sensibly and buy more for your ECC’s. After all EntreCard is like a guess game, you don’t know any of the websites traffics or statistics - unless you asked right enough - but thats going to take time! I judge on buying an ad by guessing on the websites design, comments they’ve got on posts and just overall feel when I enter the website - it takes two minutes and can save you alot of ECC’s.
Buying A High ECC Ad On EntreCard.
First of all the main advantage for buying a high ECC advertisement is the fact that there are many well-known bloggers using the widget such as John Chow, John Cow, Tyler Cruz and so on. So straight away your guarenteed traffic if your blog or website is approved by these big names. Secondly your advertisement on these big named blogs will mot definitley be placed on a high-exposed area, which again guarentees the traffic. Moving onto the disadvantages. Comparing it to the ‘Buying Many Ads With Your ECC’s’ straight away the difference will be traffic. Your probably going to get healthy traffic from only the one high paid advertisement and the traffic from this would probably be higher than possibly 3 or 4 smaller paid advertisements. But moving previously to the point about your ad or site/blog being accepted. You could be saving ECC’s for about a week maybe two to try and get this high paid advertisement and it all ends in tears when the webmaster of the site/blog doesn’t accept your advertisement - so again this is another thing to think about.
Overall my time with EntreCard has been enjoyable and I will continue to use it. I would love to hear your thoughts on it and if you agree or disagree with what this blog post has been talking about.
Kindest regards and thank you for reading.

I thought following my interview over at Lushable I came up with the idea to giving me people a little insight to what goes on in a day of my life. I’ll do a day-description for a usual weekday and then one for Saturday day & night.
James’ Weekday Happenings
- Wake up for around 8 o’clock.
- Go downstairs and make some breakfast usually toast & tea.
- Once i’ve finished my breakfast i’ll just back upstairs and switch on the computer, then i’ll check my emails and write on a little post-it of what work needs to be completed for that day.
- I’ll then come off the computer and jump in a quick shower. After showering, i’ll get dressed and pack my things for university.
- In University i’ll do four hours, consisting of Multimedia (Art, Product Design based), Multimedia Graphics (Photoshop, Printing etc) and Video Editing (Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Audition etc).
- After University i’ll come back home and go straight onto the computer and wait for dinner which is usually around 5 - 6PM. On the computer i’ll usually check my emails again and do the work that needs to be done. I’ll also check my websites/blog.
- After tea and being on the computer for a few hours, I’ll probably put on a DVD or go pay a little visit to my gran or something.
Alot of other things happen during the week, like football training, the gym and have nights in with the girlfriend although the above are the basic things which happen on a weekday.
James’ Weekend Happenings (Saturday)
- Firstly i’ll usually wake up a little later around 1ish due to probably staying on the computer late from the night before.
- I’ll get up and i’ll check emails or whatever but not for long.
- I’ll then jump into the shower and get dressed and hit the city centre with a few mates. In town we’ll buy some alcohol, grab a bite to eat and most definitely buy some new clothes for that night.
- Around 5 o’clock i’ll be home and i’ll have dinner. After dinner i’ll jump on the computer and talk to a few folk until around 7ish.
- I’ll jump in another shower about 7 and then after this come out and get dressed for going out clubbing.
- After i’m all dressed and set i’ll usually head down to my mate garys and we’ll drink for about 2 and a half hours. After this we’ll get a taxi and jump into town and find a pub to go to until hitting the club that we’ll be in for the rest of the night.
Basically thats what happens on my saturday, I’m a student so I love my nights out and I make the most of them when they happen. If me and my mates are lucky enough we’ll hopefully find a party afterwards and just crash at someones house!
